I was discussing this with a friend in Monsey today....he mentioned to me that this Purim wasn't as bad as past Purim's have been and I said, "oh, but I bet you got lots of tzedaka guys this year!" and he said, "no! there really werent very many!" So i guess its a general downturn!

tzdaka is not something that needs lots of reflection. we must give it as mizvah and those who accept it have to be thankful.as simple as that.
